uBlock Origin makes its way to Microsoft Edge (in Preview)
Another extension for Microsoft Edge has made its way into the Windows store. uBlock Origin is a popular ad-blocking extension for Firefox and Chrome, and now it’s here (in preview form) for Microsoft Edge.
uBlock is said to be lighter on CPU usage, and it doesn’t include any paid ads or other unpleasantness. As you can see from the screenshot below, uBlock instantly blocks a fair few ads on a random BBC.com page. (You can test it against other ad blockers.)
Because it’s in preview form, you might come across a few bugs, and so the developers are asking you to report back any issues via their uBlock – Edge GitHub support page.
The uBlock Origin is a free and open-source, cross-platform browser extension for content filtering—primarily aimed at neutralizing privacy invasion in an efficient, user-friendly method. ublockorigin.com
